New Delhi — India’s second largest carpet retailer is selling up to 71,000 floors of carpet a day at its biggest expansion ever.
The store in Bengaluru has been selling floor levelers since 2014 and has recently added the option to buy carpets, a department store manager said.
Carpets are used to make floors of apartments, hotels, office buildings and even roads, where it is used to replace concrete floors and pavements.
The company said it had started to sell carpets in December last year and that the sales have increased from about 20,000 floor leveler a day to nearly 70,0000 in three months.
It also said that it is expanding its range of floor leveling materials including carpets and rubber flooring.
Cali said in a statement that it has purchased 70,700 floors of flooring in the past six months, bringing its sales to over 80,000 a day.
